![]() Heaven is not a sing-along in the sky, one great hymn after another, forever and ever. Some even picture Heaven as a boring place.īut these conventional caricatures of Heaven do a terrible disservice to God and adversely affect our relationship with Him. There is a hint in our attitude toward Heaven that it will be “angelic,” that we will end up playing harps on a misty cloud in the “heavens.” We will be wearing long white robes, and talking pious talk forever and ever. According to popular thought, where Christians go when they die is the same place they will spend eternity.Įven contemporary believers base their thinking on Heaven more on sloppy, syrupy, sentimental television programs than on any clear teaching of Scripture.
